摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the amount of granules composed of UO3 and/or PuO2 by abrasion, and to enable the continuous operation of the titled apparatus, by reducing the diameter of the apparatus successively, in plural steps, from the mounting part of the spray nozzle toward the straightening vanes at the bottom of the fluidized layer. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is composed of a plurality of cylindrical parts (b), (c) and (d) having successively reduced diameters from the mounting part (a) of the spray nozzle 4 toward the straightening vanes 2 at the bottom of the fluidized layer 3, and connecting parts (e), (f) and (g) having an inclination angle of larger than the angle of repose and connecting the above cylindrical parts (b), (c) and (d). Fluidizing gas 6 is introduced into the fluidized layer 3 through the wind box 1 and the straightening vanes 2, and at the same time, a solution of uranyl nitrate and/or plutonium nitrate is introduced together with spraying gas 8 through the nozzle 4 into the fluidized layer 3 to effect the thermal decomposition and denitration of the nitrate. The granules of the produced UO3 and/or PuO2 are dropped to the bottom of the fluidized layer 3, and blown up with the gas flowing at high speed in the cylindrical parts (b), (c) and (d). The amount of the granule is reduced by the abrasion and rolling motion of the granule, and the collision of the granules with each other or with the inner wall of the apparatus.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable continuous, stable and direct conversion into uranium trioxide or plutonium dioxide by forming the lower part of the body of a denitrating apparatus with conic parts arranged in a row and by attaching fluidizing gas feeding pipes to the bottoms of the conic parts. CONSTITUTION:A fluidizing gas from a fluidizing gas feeding pipe 3 is passed through flow rate regulating valves 12a, 12b, 12c and flow rate indicators 13a, 13b, 13c to regulate the flow rate, and it is fed to conic parts 2a, 2b, 2c at different flow rates through drawing pipes 14 to force a flow to be formed in uranium trioxide particles in a fluidizied bed 4. The particles are acceleratedly mixed and dispersed to maintain the thermal uniformity of the bed 4, and the denitration of uranyl nitrate blown from a spray nozzle 5 by thermal decompositon can proceed continuously and stably. Coarse uranium trioxide particles formed in a reaction zone in the bed 4 drop into the conic parts 2a, 2b, 2c, move along the insides, and are gathered in the openings of the pipes 14.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prepare uranium trioxide stably, by tilting a rectifying apparatus under a fluidized bed of an apparatus for preparing the uranium trioxide by the thermal decomposition of a solution of uranyl nitrate, and feeding a fluidizing gas of a raw material to a taking out pipe of the uranium trioxide. CONSTITUTION:A tilted rectifying apparatus 3 is provided under a cylindrical body 1 of an apparatus for preparing UO3 by denitrating uranyl nitrate, and a solution (5a) of uranyl nitrate enriched to a given concentration is blown from a feeding pipe 5 to the cylindrical body 1. On the other hand, a fluidizing gas (7a) is blown from a feeding pipe 7 into a wind box 2, passed through the rectifying apparatus 3 and lifted to form a fluidized bed 4. The blown uranyl nitrate is thermally decomposed in the fluidized bed 4 to produce UO3 powder. In this case, coarse particles of the UO3 are lowered along the inner surface of the tilted rectifying apparatus 3, and discharged from a taking out pipe 8. Fine particles (6a) are taken out of an overflow pipe 6 to cause no clogging of the rectifying apparatus 3 and stabilize the operation. The method is applicable to the preparation of plutonium dioxide from plutonium nitrate.

The feed of the uranyl nitrate soln. can be increased by the amount of a gas corresponding to the cross-sectional areas of the inserters 5 X the linear velocity of the fluidizing gas, and the uranyl nitrate denitrating capacity of the apparatus can be increased.
