    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave absorbent which is enhanced in radio wave absorption characteristic and practical serviceability by a method wherein the radio wave absorber composed of a nonwoven fabric formed of a first fiber coated with a metal oxide and a second insulating fiber fiber not coated with a metal. SOLUTION: A radio wave absorber is a nonwoven fabric formed of a first fiber and a second fiber. The first fiber is coated with a metal whose surface is oxidized, and the second fiber is not coated with a metal and good in insulating properties. The metal-coated fiber and the insulating fiber are mixed together at a prescribed ratio, formed into a nonwoven fabric, and then subjected to an oxidation treatment to convert the surface of the metal of the metal-coated fiber into an oxide. Or, the metal-coated fiber whose surface coating metal is oxidized by an oxidation treatment and the insulating fiber are mixed together at a prescribed ratio and formed into a nonwoven fabric. With this setup, a radio wave absorber enhanced in radio wave absorbing property and practical properties such as processability, reduction in weight and cost, and others.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic shield material wherein the mutual contact of magnetic shield powder is not hindered by resin or an adhesive and which is excellent in a magnetic shield effect, by a method wherein bases each having a powder layer formed by sticking the magnetic shield powder uniformly on the surface are laminated with the powder layers opposed to each other, without interposing the adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A base laminate 20 is formed of a pair of sheet-shaped bases 10 laminated on each other. An adhesive 11 is applied thinly on the surface of each sheet-shaped base 10 and magnetic shield powder 12 is dispersed uniformly with the adhesive 11 interlaid and sticks on the surface of the base, in mutual contact, so that a magnetic shield powder layer be formed. The sheet-shaped bases 10 are laminated with the magnetic shield powder layers opposed to each other. Neither the adhesive nor resin is interposed between the powder layer of one base and the powder layer of the other and the magnetic shield powder is brought into the mutual contact directly. Besides, another magnetic shield powder layer 13 not having the adhesive is interlaid between the opposed powder layers. Therefore the mutual contact of the magnetic shield powder is obtained and thus a high magnetic shield effect is produced.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject clothing composed of a waterproof-finished shielding member made of electromagnetic wave-shielding fabric and a clothing member capable of detachable attachment thereof, capable of frequent washing without reducing electromagnetic wave-shielding properties and capable of protecting the human body from harmful electromagnetic waves. CONSTITUTION:This electromagnetic wave-shielding clothing is composed of a waterproof-finished shielding member 1 obtained by covering 1a both the sides of electromagnetic wave-shielding fabric with a vinyl cloth and a clothing member 12 capable of detachably attaching the shielding member 1. This clothing member 12 is mainly composed of surface fabric 2 and lining fabric 3 respectively having a shape similar to the shielding member 1 and a size some larger than that of the shielding member 1 and designed so that the shielding member 1 may be detachably accommodated through an openable fastener 7 attached to the lining fabric 3 into an accommodation part 6. The shielding member 1 is accommodated through an opening part into the accommodation part 6 and detachably fixed to the clothing member 12 in a state where there is no danger of slip down by putting together an adhesive tape 13 and another adhesive tape 14 according to the shape of the accommodation part 6. The fastener 7 is subsequently closed to close the accommodation member 6, thus obtaining the objective electromagnetic wave-shielding clothing.
