摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the transporting mechanism for cans capable of automatically discharging bell bottom cans from a moving path without lowering can making efficiency and without affecting the transporting positions and postures of the cans around the bell bottom cans to be discharged. CONSTITUTION:This transporting mechanism is constituted by providing a guide frame 20 for guiding the cans with a detecting means 30 for detecting the cans of the diameter larger than a design size. This detecting means 30 has a pair of guide members 31, 32 which are arranged to face each other apart a distance larger than the diameter at one end in the longitudinal direction of the can K and a contact member which is installed in at least one of these guide members 31, 32 and is energized toward the guide members 31, 32 facing each other.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly cut the opening edge part cut off from a can body into a strip in a trimming machine without increasing the amount of pressing of a cutter. SOLUTION: A trimming machine l is provided with a cylindrical mandrel 4 on which a can body is sheathed, and an adjacent shaft 5 having the axis parallelling the mandrel 4, and rotates the mandrel 4 and the adjacent shaft 5 each other to engage a ring-like mandrel side cutting edge part 8 provided on the mandrel 4 with a circular-arc-like, shaft side cutting edge part provided on the outer peripheral part of the adjacent shaft 5 in state where the opening edge part of the can body is caught between both the cutting edge parts, to cut off the opening edge part and then shape it. The adjacent shaft 5 is provided with a plate like cutter 13 which is provided on the outer peripheral part so that it is projected outward in radial direction, and arranged on opposite side to the direction of rotation with respect to the shaft cutting edge part to cut the cur-off ring-like opening edge part into a strip. With the cutter, the cutting edge is arranged in a plane containing the axis of the adjacent shaft 5, and inclined to the axis.

摘要： PURPOSE:To surely release a can body from a punch sleeve by forming a space in the proximity of the inward end between adjoining strippers, in the releasing device for releasing a formed can from a punch sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Along the circumferential direction of a drawing die, plural strippers 50 are provided in a state adjoining one another. By the return operation of a punch sleeve after drawing, a strip is abutted on the opening edge part of a can body (C) which is adhered closely with the punch sleeve, and the can body is released from the punch sleeve. Since a space S is formed in the proximity of the inward end between the adjoining strippers 50, a metallic powder generated by the drawing and a DI coolant supplied during a working are flowed outside through the space S. The quantity of the metallic powder interposing between the stripper and the can body and of the DI coolant is thereby decreased, the can body is surely released from the punch sleeve, and the generation of damage is prevented.

SOLUTION: A trimmer 21 is provided with an inner side work rest 24 for fixedly positioning a lower knife 8 by a mandrel 22 and an outer side work rest 26 fixed mountably/demountably to a spindle part 23. Accordingly, when a size of the mandrel 22 is changed, the outer side work rest 26 is replaced to be matched with a size of a can unit. Here, the lower knife 8, which is placed in a condition positioned by the inner side work rest 24, prevents generation of a position deviation, so as to eliminate necessity for adjusting work of a clearance in a blade part when a size of the mandrel 22 is changed.
