    • PURPOSE: To enable efficient continuous heating an upset workpiece, by arranging a plurality of trucks, each being adjacent together, movably on two railroads parallel to the lengthwise of a rectangular oven, and properly arranging a truck-elevating means and a truck-traversing means.
      CONSTITUTION: When a workpiece is a short one, the workpiece is charged on a truck 6 through a short workpiece-charging inlet 2 by a short workpiece-charging means 14. When a woripiece is a long one, the workpiece is charged on the truck 6 through a long workpiece-charging inlet 4 by a long workpiece-charging means 16. The workpiece is heated during the circulation of the truck 6, and taken out through a discharging opening 3 by a discharging means 15. In this case, to transfer the truck 6 between the two railroads, the truck 6 is lifted by a truck-elevating means, traversed at a right angle to the railroads by a truck-traversing means 13, carried onto the other railroad and let down on the other railroad by the elevating means. In addition, dummy trucks are located at positions, each shown by the chain line outside a truck position shown by the broken line. The dummy trucks 9 push the trucks at the broken-line positions to advance all of the trucks 6 by a distance corresponding to one truck.
