    • PURPOSE:To prevent a linked tripping of the whole plant at the time of occurrence of a trouble anywhere in a generating plant, which has two or more boilers, turbines and generator machines and feeds a varying amount of power, by furnishing an emergency working device separate from the controller of conventional type. CONSTITUTION:This emergency working device is composed of an expected load calculator 5 to put out the regular load upon receiving an emergency input signal 4 from the plant 2, a turbine load and air bleeding calculating/setting device 8 to set a target value for the turbine output and the amount of bled air, and load selecting and shutoff setting device 9 to set the shutoff of the air bleeding and electric load in accordance with the sort of emergency. Further this is equipped with a steam balance calculator 10, a air bleeding mode calculator 11, a by-pass valve opening/closing calculator 12, a boiler evaporation calculator 13, a relay setting signal generator 14 whose input is connected with the outputs of the turbine load and air bleeding/setting device 8 and the load selecting and shutoff setting device 9, and an emergency action signal generator 15 connected with the inputs to the plant 2.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent accumulation of ash, by a method wherein ash dispersing nozzles are mounted to a spot where stagnation is apt to be created in a flow within a flue duct and a spot where a velocity of flow is low and ash is apt to be accumulated, and the air is injected in a way to vary the direction of injection. CONSTITUTION:Valves 14 are attached to air pipings 13 branched from an air main pipe 15, and a flexible hose 12 is connected to a nozzle 3 by means of a coupling 11. Therefore, with the valves 14 opened, the air is injected through an injection hole 5 in a nozzle 3, and ash 2 is dispersed to the wake flow side. The injection holes in the nozzle 3 are about 1-4 in number to increase an injection speed and therefore, the air may be injected over the range of 360 deg. in order to fly the ash effectively. A handle 7 is attached to the nozzle 3 which is connected to a piping 13 by means of the flexible hose 12, and this enables rotation of the nozzle 3 by means of the handle 7.

    • PURPOSE:To detect whether leakage of a pipe of an additional heater exists or not without stopping an operation of a thermal power plant, by injecting a chemical in the course of a water supply of a high pressure side fluid, varying concentration of the chemical, and measuring the concentration of the chemical some time later at a drain side of a low pressure side fluid. CONSTITUTION:A chemical being a marking substance to be mixed to feed-water in a feed pipe 14 is stored in a chemical tank 3. The chemical in the tank 3 is injected into the feed-water of an inlet side of an additional heater 8 by operating an injection pump of chemical 4. When the injecting quantity of the chemical is varied by stepwise variation of the stroke of the injection pump 4, concentration of the chemical in the feed-water is varied stepwise. As soon as the chemical is injected, concentration of the chemical in a drain is analyzed continuously by analyzing devices 6, 7 of the drain side. If leakage occurs in the pipe for separating the feed-water and the drain in the additional heater 8, the chemical is detected soon by the analyzing device 6 or 7.
