    • PURPOSE:To improve filtration efficiency and prolong the life of filter cloths by applying frame tightening pressure in proportion to the pressure and compression pressure at the supplying of slurry to a filter press thereby increasing the frame tightening pressure stepwise. CONSTITUTION:Laminated bodies 7 consisting of water pressure plates 5 provided with filter frames 3 and diaphragms 4 and the filter cloths 6 disposed between the filter frames 3 and the water pressure plates 5 are disposed in multiple stages between a stationary plate 1 and a movable plate 2. A discharge hole 8 for discharging dehydrated water is provided to each filter frame 3 and a supply hole 9 for supplying compressed water to each water pressure plate 5. The movable plate 2 connects to the hydraulic press 11 provided to the stationary plate 10, and oil pipings 12, 13 connected to the respective chamber of the hydraulic press 11 are disposed. Since the laminated bodies 7 are tightened by the frame tightening pressure adapted to respective processes, the frame surface pressures assume values optimum for the respective processes, and this results in improved extraction efficiency of filtrate and prolonged life of the filter cloths.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent any undesirable opening of molds with a high safety as well as with a low cost and in a mechanical manner, by providing respectively an upstanding member on a lifting table, a pressure cylinder at the under part of the upper frame, and a baffle plate which can come in and out of the area between the upstanding member and the pressure cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In the standby position of the press, a green tyre is loaded into the press by means of a green tyre loader and is placed in a lower mold 4. Thereafter, a rod 11 of a hydraulic cylinder 10 is expanded to lower a lifting table 6, a heat-insulating plate, an upper hot plate and an upper mold 5 as one unit to be positioned on the lower mold 4. Then, a rod 13 of a cylinder 12 is expanded. In consequence, a baffle plate 9 is moved through a link 14 from the first position outside the press to the second position inside the press so as to be disposed between the upstanding member 7 of the lowered lifting table 6 and a pressure cylinder 8. Thereupon, the pressure cylinder 8 is fed with a fluid pressure to expand its rod, thereby allowing the upper and lower molds 5, 4 to be clamped through the baffle plate 9, upstanding member 7 and liftint table 6.
