    • PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus which detects the abnormal operating state of a plant in an early stage and issues highly reliable warning with less erroneous reporting by computing the average value of measured physical quantities in a specified time interval at a specified period, and comparing the value with an allowance value. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is composed of the following devices: a measuring sensors 1 such as a pressure gage and a flowmeter which measure the physical quantities at specified points in a plant; an average value computer 2A which obtains the average value of the measured physical quantities; and a warning generator 3A which processes the output from the computer 2A and the outputs of the sensors 1 as specified and issues warning when the abnormality in the plant is detected. The computer 2A computes the average value of the physical quantities in a time period immediately before at, e.g. every predetermined specified time. In the warning generator 3A, the difference between the physical quantity at the specified point in the plant from the sensor 1 and the average value from the computer 2A is obtained with a subtracting device 6. Whether the obtained difference belongs to the allowance range which is set through an allowance-range setting device between the physical quantity and the average value is located at the outside of the allowance range, the warning is issued from a reporting device 8.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid confusion of abnormality of the output of an exit flowmeter and trouble of a flow rate regulating valve by distinguishing impossibility and possibility of abnormality of the flow rate regulating valve from each other by combination between first-fourth computing elements and a discriminator to detect the abnormality. CONSTITUTION:Computing elements 21-24 use distributed data to calculate various variables V1-V4 and output signals, which indicate three states, namely, whether calculates values are in a normal operation range or are abnormally excessive on the positive side or are abnormally excessive on the negative side, to a discriminator 25. All output signals of computing elements 21-24 are inputted to the discriminator 25, and the discriminator 25 decides the occurrence of trouble of an exit flowmeter 11 to output a flowmeter trouble signal to an alarm device 26 if states of respective input signals have a certain pattern. The flowmeter trouble signal is inputted to the alarm device 26, and this device 26 uses an alarm means of an indicator like a lamp or an alarm like a buzzer to informs that the exit flowmeter 11 is in trouble. Thus, confusion of abnormality of the output of the exit flowmeter 11 and trouble of a flow rate regulating valve 9 is avoided when the output of the exit flowmeter 11 is abnormal.

A node 73 of a PID attribution is set for an adjuster 64 corresponding to its function. Moreover, when the actual level LA1 becomes low and a pump 66 sucks in vain, the actual flow rate FA2 is turned to zero and therefore, a node 81 of a transient attribution (MORE attribution) is set. An influential factor is set for each arc. The influential factor is distinguished between positive and negative in accordance with the influential relation between the phenomena of nodes, and moreover indicated by a continuous value of -1.0-1.0. Accordingly, a network model 70 is formed.

CONSTITUTION:The data of levels, temperatures, flow rates and the like are collected as process data in a data collecting part 1 and outputted as meter signals.
