    • PURPOSE:To evaluate a sensor for a relative sensitivity test of plural AE sensors quantitatively, accurately, and easily by sticking a reference AE sensor and an AE sensor to be tested on a test-piece opposite each other across the test- piece. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave pulse generator 11, the reference AE sensor 12 fixed to the test-piece 13, the AE sensor 14 to be tested, and an AE measuring instrument 15 are provided. Further, respective processors 16-19 are connected to the output side of the instrument 15 to process an amplitude, a counted value, the number of events, a rising time, etc. The generator 11 generates continuous pulses of a rectangular wave to excite the sensor 10. An ultrasonic wave by vibrations of the sensor 10 is propagated as an elastic wave in the test-piece 13 to excite the sensor 14. Further, the instrument 15 amplifies the fine signal of the sensor 14 up to a level where the signal can be processed and sends the signal to respective processors 16-19 to compare those values, thereby knowing output characteristics of the sensor 14.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out an objective determination escaping from any personal error by providing a displacement sensor detecting a condition of a joint part of a tire rubber as a displacement and a photoelectric sensor detecting a reflecting tape of the fixed length as the reference width signal. CONSTITUTION:A displacement sensor 4 detects the condition of a joint part of a tire rubber 2 as a displacement to output a displacement signal 17 via an amplifier 6. A photoelectric sensor 5 detects a reflecting tape 3, which adheres to the joint position of the tire rubber and is the fixed length, to output a reference width signal 16 in the circumferential direction. A clock circuit 11 measures a width of a signal, for which the signal 17 is waveform-processed via comparators 9, 10. A clock circuit 12 measures the time of the signal 16 via a comparator 7. A computing unit 13 computes the condition of the joint part of the tire rubber 2 on the basis of the measurement results in the clock circuits 11, 12 and an indicator 14 indicates this as an absolute amount. In other words, the condition of the joint part is found from the reference signal width time of the tape 3 and joint part condition signal time, so that the open/ lap amount is outputted to the indicator 14.

    • PURPOSE:To detect abnormality in a bearing more quickly by composing a circuit of a detector for the output of AE (Acoustic Emission) sensor fixed to a bearing, a level setting device for judging the above output, a pulse shape forming device, and a reference time setting device to understand the working state of the bearing and a shaft. CONSTITUTION:AE sensor 3 is fixed to a bearing 2, and an output sent through an amplifier 5 and a band-pass filter 6 is detected and rectified by a detector 7. A waveform processor 8 receives an output sent by a level setting device 10 ad a detecting output signal, and outputs a pulse shape for the detecting output signal higher than a fixed level. A pulse counter 9 counts the number of the above square pulse for a time specified by a reference time setting device 11. The number of the square pulse is compared with the abnormal number of count established by a setting 12 for the number of count using a comparator 13 for the number of count, and when the number of the square pulse is more than the above abnormal number of count,an alarm 14 and alarm output 15 give warning. Since AE method can give response more quickly than a former method, abnormality in bearing can be detected more quickly than ever.
