    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, in the conventional plasma spraying torch, the flying locus of powder grains is regulated, e.g. by changing the size of a powder feeding port and the flow rate of a powder feeding gas, but, it is not effective in actual fact, and the problems that the sticking efficiency of a thermal spraying material is low, the quality of coating is unstable or the like occur, and, at the time of using the plasma spraying torch, the consumption of the anode and cathode occurs to change the shape of a plasma jet, therefore, the reregulation of the proper flying locus is needed, but, in the conventional plasma spraying torch, such regulation has been impossible. SOLUTION: In a plasma spraying torch in which the powder grains of a thermal spraying material are fed to the flow of a plasma jet sprayed from an anode nozzle hole 21a by arc discharge from a powder feeding port 26 provided on the upstream or downstream side of the anode nozzle hole 21a, the powder feeding port 26 is provided freely retrogressingly in the axial direction and movably in the approximately orthogonal direction to the flow of the plasma jet.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the protector installing stage, to obtain a hard sur face layer, and to avoid erosion by conducting simultaneously an annealing treatment and an aluminizing diffusing/penetrating treatment at the completion of bending work to a boiler tube whose surface is coated with an aluminum layer. SOLUTION: A boiler tube is aluminized through the hot dipping method, then it undergoes bending work, and it receives an annealing treatment and an aluminizing diffusing/penetrating treatment after the bending work. In the aluminizing diffusing/penetrating treatment, an aluminum diffused layer is formed between the surface film layer of the boiler tube through the treatment of 30 minutes in the atmosphere of 900 deg.C, and the diffused layer is given the hardness as twice as that of the mother metal. Since the stress relief annealing to austenic stainless steel is carried out for two to four hours at the temperature of 850 to 900 deg.C, the aluminizing diffusing/penetrating treatment and the stress relief annealing can be carried out at the same time. Accordingly, the manufacturing process can be simplified, the installation stage for the protector can be dispensed with, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To provide stabilized plasma, uniformized heating and accelerating of particles, and high quality sprayed coating formed with less energy used, by supplying spray powder longitudinally from a base part of a plasma jet passage in a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION: Cooling water is passed through cooling water passages 10, 12 in order to cool a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 5, while Ar or the like is passed, via a mixing passage 7 for spray powder and a working gaseous medium, from a hole formed in the negative electrode 5 to a plasma chamber 'a'. Spark discharge is generated between the two electrodes 1, 5, by applying a positive voltage and a negative voltage to the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 5 respectively from a direct current power source and also by applying a high-frequency voltage between the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 5. Owing to this spark discharge, plasma is generated between the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 5, and a plasma jet of high temperature and high speed bursts out of a plasma-jet nozzle 'b'. After the plasma has become stable, spray powder is supplied from a spray-powder supply passage 8 to the plasma generating chamber. Because the powder is supplied in the same direction as the bursting direction of the plasma jet, heating and accelerating of particles are uniformized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a corrosion resistant and wear resistant coating material excellent in the stickiness between a base material and a thermal-sprayed film regardless of whether the Al content exists or not in the thermal sprayed film material by forming the Al diffused layer in the joined part between the base material and the thermal- sprayed film, in the coating material forming the thermal-sprayed film of a metal or a cermet having the corrosion resistance and the wear resistance on the surface of the base material composed of metallic material. SOLUTION: Solid solution is formed by diffusing Al to both of the base material 1 and the thermal-sprayed film 2 and the Al diffused layer 3 mixed with the base material, thermal-spraying material and Al is formed, and the thermal-sprayed film 2 and the base material 1 are metallurgically combined. This coating material is obtd. by forming the Al film on the surface of the base material 1 and executing the heat treatment after forming the metallic or the cermet thermal sprayed film having the corrosion resistance and the wear resistance on this Al film to diffuse the Al into the base material and the thermal-sprayed film. As the material of the thermal-sprayed film, metal powder such as SUS 310, etc., without containing Al, is recomended.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a thermally sprayed film having good quality by sufficiently executing melting of thermally sprayed powder particles with high adhesion efficiency. CONSTITUTION:While the atmosphere pressure is kept under 20 to 500Torr, a plasma jet 25 to be injected from a plasma thermal spraying torch 22 toward a base material 23 is formed and, thereafter, the thermally sprayed powder particles 24 are supplied into the plasma jet 25 via a powder supplying pole 22a' penetrating the axial center of a cathode 22a of the plasma thermal spraying torch 22, by which the plasma jet 25 is formed with adequate spread and, therefore, uniform heating and accelerating of the thermally sprayed powder particles 24 are made possible. Since the thermally sprayed powder particles 24 are supplied along the injection direction of the plasma jet 25, the efficient heating and accelerating are made possible. Thus thermally sprayed films having excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are obtd. and the deposition efficiency of the thermally spraying material is improved. Shortening of the working stages and the reduction of material cost are made possible.
