    • PURPOSE:To reduce the depth of cooling water for cooling clinker to a required minimum value, by a method wherein the lower end of a seal plate, suspended downward from the furnace bottom side, is submerged in water and disposed in seal water contained in a seal trough mounted along the upper edge of a trough. CONSTITUTION:A water tight seal mechanism is constituted such that a flange 12a is located along the upper edge of a trough 12, a seal trough 16 is securely mounted, and the lower end of a seal plate 17, suspended downward from a furnace bottom 11a, is submerged in seal water (c) contained in the seal trough 16. A drip shield 18 is suspended downward from the furnace bottom 11a along the inside of the seal trough 16, and this prevents floating ash and dropping ash, dropping and flowing-in from the furnace bottom 11a, from flowing in the seal trough 16. The depth of cooling water (b) in the trough 12 can be reduced to a required minimum value which is enough to allow cooling of clinker (a), and there is no fear of huge clinker being rapidly cooled, resulting in substantial improvement of cooling and discharge performance and secure safety.

    • PURPOSE:To easily and safely perform inspection, by allowing a self-running truck equipped with a flaw detecting apparatus to run on a guide track attachable to a structure in a freely detachable manner through an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:In the flaw detecting apparatus of the firing furnace wall of the boiler of a steam power plant, a guide track 2 is hung down in a state connected to cables cooperated with the winch mechanism above the boiler and a self- running truck 3 run by a drive mechanism is supported by the guide track 2 while the guide track 2 can further move vertically on the firing furnace wall surface 4 by the cables 1. An electromagnet 5 is mounted to the quide truck 2 in opposed relation to the firing furnace wall surface 4 and said truck 2 is made attractable and fixable to the firing furnace wall surface 4 while a guide wheel 6 is mounted to said track 2 for the sake of vertical movement. On the other hand, the self-running truck 3 is equipped with the flaw detecting apparatus and remote inspection is performed by a remote control apparatus 10. By this apparatus, various kinds of machineries can be accurately conveyed to a desired position and safety is also high.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance classifying capacity by a method wherein the air stream containing a coarse powder flowing toward the center of a mill along a mill top ceiling surface is allowed to meet with a main stream being a feed air stream as a falling stream by the weir attached to the mill top ceiling surface to be introduced into a rotary classifier. CONSTITUTION:In a roller mill having a rotary classifier built therein, a weir 14 having an annular cross section converting the air stream containing a coarse powder separated from the feed air stream 4 rising through the mill and flowing toward the center of the mill along a mill top ceiling surface 5 to a falling stream is attached to the mill top ceiling surface 5 in coaxial relation to the rotary shaft of the rotary classifier on the outside in the radius direction of the blade 7 of the rotary classifier. The lower end of the weir 4 is set to the position allowing the falling stream to meet with the main stream 4 being the feed air stream rising through the mill and the coarse powder passing through the rotary classifier along a short route is eliminated to enhance classifying capacity.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily examine the interior of an object to be examined, by inserting a flexible water feed pipe into the object to be examined along with an insert shaft having rigidity consisting of plural divided pieces and feeding out a detector and a cable by the water pressure in the water feed pipe. CONSTITUTION:A flexible water feed pipe 14 is drawn out from a winder 23 while an insert shaft 18 is attached to the outer periphery of said pipe 14. In this state, the water feed pipe 14 is inserted into a header 11 being an object to be examined along with the insert shaft 18 by an insert mechanism 20. The insert shaft 18 consists of plural divided pieces 18a, 18b having rigidity and successively assembled according to the insert thereof into the header 11 while the leading end of the water feed pipe 14 is bent at a position, where the nozzle 15 provided to the leading end of said water feed pipe 14 reaches a place corresponding to the opening of an objective high temp. part pipe 12, and the nozzle 15 is inlaid with the opening of the high temp. part pipe 12. Next, water is supplied under predetermined pressure by a pump 25 and an ultrasonic probe 16 and a cable 17 are extruded from the nozzle 15 by said water pressure and the wall thickness of the high temp. part pipe 12 is measured from the interior thereof.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of explosion through prevention of rapid cooling of clinker and to cause the clinker to be apt to be crushed through prevention of aggregation of the clinker, and to sharply improve ash handling performance, by a method wherein cooling water is injected to the clinker, gradually cooled by cooling water in a trough, to cool it entirely. CONSTITUTION:A sealing trough 10, containing sealing water (c), is securly located through a packing 11 along a flange 12b attached to the upper edge parts of side plates 12a of a trough 12, sealing plates 4a and 4b are suspended from a furnace bottom 1a, and the lower end part of a sealing plate 4b is emerged in the sealing water (c) to seal water-tightly between the furnace bottom 1a and the trough 12. Injection nozzles 15 for cooling water are respectively disposed to both side plates 12a of the trough 12, cooling water can be continuously injected onto clonker (a) in the trough 12 to cool it, cooling water (b) in the trough 12 can be supplemented, and the depth of the cooling water (b) in the trough 12 is reduced to a minimum valve.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent explosion and solidification of clinker due to rapid cooling of clinker after gradual cooling, by a method wherein a trough is constituted such that the depth of cooling water in the trough is made shallow in a position right under a furnace bottom and is made deep in a position except the position right under the furnace bottom. CONSTITUTION:A recess part 10b of a trough 10 is formed in a position except portion right below a furnace bottom 1a, and the bottom, positioned right below the furnace bottom, of the trough 10 is formed so that it is positioned in an elevated level. This forms the trough such that the depth of cooling water (b) is decreased at a portion right below the furnace bottom and is made deep at the recess part 10b located away from the portion right below the furnace bottom. Along with formation of the recess part 10b, a conveyor flight 11 is also disposed so that it may run in a lower level at a portion, corresponding to the recess part 10b, by means of a guide roller 15. Clinker (a), dropping from the furnace bottom 1a, enters into the shallow trough 10 right below the furnace bottom 1a and is conveyed as it is cooled to be gradually cooled, and when it is conveyed away from a portion right below the furnace bottom, it enters into cooling water (b) of sufficient depth in the recess part 10b of the trough 10 and is rapidly cooled, and is discharged from the rising part 10a side.
