SOLUTION: A cell room 22 communicates with an outside air introduction passage equipped with an outside air inlet 32, a lower plenum 24 located below housing tubes 36 and a cooling air exhaust passage equipped with an air outlet 34 and has an upper plenum 28 located below a ceiling slug 40. A side-wall flow channel 56 for cooling a concrete side wall 50 is formed between it and a plate 54 for forming the side-wall flow channel. The housing tubes containing radioactive wastes and the concrete side wall are cooled by natural ventilation derived from the convection in the cell room generated by the heat emitted from the radioactive substances stowed in each of the housing tubes 36. A plate 60 for forming a ceiling flow channel is placed opposite to the inner face of the ceiling slug, and a ceiling flow channel 62 communicating with the side- wall flow channel is formed between the ceiling slug and the plate 60 for forming the ceiling flow channel. Partitions that extend from the lower plenum 24 toward the upper plenum 28 are formed in the side-wall flow channel.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep sludge unapt to adher or deposit in a reprocessing process of a nuclear fuel and enable the promotion of solution reaction by forming an inner face of a bottom part of a dissolver main body on a curved face and sending fluid from a fluid introducing tube toward a curved face of the bottom part. SOLUTION: An inner face of a bottom part of a dissolver main body 1 is formed on a curved face. Nitride solution is filled in the dissolver main body 1, irradiated fuel is changed, and the whole dissolver main body 1 is heated. With heating, a gas supply unit 4 is operated, and gas is sent toward a curved face of the bottom part 2 by a gas introducing tube 3. The sent gas flows along a curved face of the bottom part 2, and the solution near the bottom part 2 is flowed upwardly. At this time, a sludge floating in the solution or a sludge to be laminated on the bottom part 2 flows upwardly with gas and solution, and the sludge is hardly laminated on the bottom part 2. The solution is stirred by flowing of the solution generated when the fluid is sent, the opportunity of contact with fuel and nitride is enhanced, and dissolution reaction is promoted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose of a secondary waste without any trouble while keeping a sufficient treatment efficiency by pressurizing and heating an extracting agent to which water, neutralizer, and oxygen source are added to lay the water in supercritical state, and separating the off gas generated by this reaction. SOLUTION: A neutralizer in a neutralizer tank 2, an oxidizer in an oxidizer tank 3, and pure water in a pure water tank 4 are added to tributyl phosphate(TBP) in a sample liquid tank 1, and the mixture is raised in pressure and temperature and guided to a reaction vessel 5, where TBP is decomposed to butyl group and phosphoric acid. A this time, when the system temperature exceeds the critical point, pure water forms an environment rich in reactivity of supercritical state to efficiently progress the reaction, and TBP + hydrogen peroxide + pure water in the inlet is made to phosphate + carbon dioxide + water. When the system is released to room temperature and pressure in the outlet, water having the phosphate partially precipitated therein is collected in the bottom of a solid-liquid separator 6, and a solidifying device 7 disposes it as waste solid. An exhaust gas treatment device 8 attracts the nuclide from the carbon dioxide containing nuclide moved to the upper part and releases the resulting carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

    • PURPOSE:To control a liquid surface position of a settler part automatically by sending a liquid surface signal of the settler part to a pressure regulating valve of a vacuum line connected to a pressure reduction weir. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic capacity type liquid surface gauge 16 is placed at a settler part of a mixer-settler type extractor in order to detect height of a surface 7 of a water phase 5 and an organic phase 7, and the detected height is converted 17 to a voltage signal and sent to an indicating regulator 18. At that time, the indicating regulator 18 regulates a pressure regulating valve 12 which is provided at a vacuum line 11 of a pressure reduction weir 2, to control a vacuum of the pressure reduction weir 2. On the other hand, a vent valve 13 provided at a vent side, is manually set to a specific openness, in advance, in order to maintain the vacuum of the pressure reduction weir under an normal operational condition. By regulating the vacuum of the pressure reduction weir 2 with combining the valves 12 and 13 in this way, the surface position can be automatically restored to the specific position even if the surface position of the settler part at each stage might change.
