    • PURPOSE:To correct strain uniformly in a short time, to improve performance and to lessen manpower by disposing a bar-like electrode having a water ejection hole in proximity to the part where the welding strain is generated, heating the length of the part where the strain is generated and cooling the periphery of the heated part. CONSTITUTION:If high frequency current is flowed to a bar-like coil 6 from a high frequency power source 8 through an electric terminal 7, eddy current is conducted flows in the surface layer part of a facing material 1, that is, the part 5 on the back of the aggregate by an electromagnetic induction phenomenon to heat said part by the resistance heating thereof. Cooling water 9 is fed through a supply port 11 to the coil 6 during heating and is ejected from an ejection port 10. The heated part shrinks in the stage of cooling and distorts in the opposite direction, thus correcting the original strain. If the coil 6 is moved in an arrow direction 12 in the above-mentioned way, the long sized strain is easily corrected.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a positioner which can locate semispherical or spherical objects to be welded in a manner as to permit welding from both inside and outside surfaces by rotatably supporting a ringlike holding implement mounting said objects.
      CONSTITUTION: For example, piercing hardware 14 is welded to a semisphere 13 in a position of an angle θ from the centerline in its perpendicular direction by the following method: First, the centerline of the semisphere 13 is aligned to a supporting revolving shaft 14 and is mounted to a holding jig 8, after which the jig 8 is rotated at an angle θ to bring the hardware 14 to right under the centerline of this positioner. After the jig 8 is fixed by a locking jig 11 in this position, a welding torch 16 is brought closer to a weld joint part 15 from the inner side of the semisphere 13 and welding is carried out in a flat position. Thence, the jig 8 is rotated θ+90° to locate the joint part 15 to right above and the part 15 is welded from the outside surface in a flat position.
