    • PURPOSE:To obtain simulation results without conducting any operation for simulating the current values, the voltage values, etc., of a facility by substituting the status attributes of a corresponding compositional element into a formula for deciding the status attributes of a compositional element belonging to an upper position than a compositional element of an operational object designated by an operational data and then updating the status attributes. CONSTITUTION:A processing section 13 updates the status attributes of a compositional element registered in a data base 11 depending on the compositional element of an operating object designated by a data received from an input section 12 and the operational content thereof. The processing section 13 also decides whether a compositional element belonging to an upper position than the compositional element of the operational object is present or not with reference to the data base 11. If such element is present, the status attributes of corresponding element is substituted into a formula for determining the attributes thereof thus determining and updating the attributes. This constitution provides simulation results at high speed without requiring any operation for modulating the current or voltage values of the facility.

Then the respective modules are assigned to the respective development points so that the evaluation function becomes minimum. Consequently, the best distribution of the respective modules to the respective development points is enabled.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the inspection of suitability for the specification of a system by deciding the suitability of an inferred result based on the description of use and afterwards, discovering errors in a knowledge base while tracing the process of inference from a decided result. CONSTITUTION:A rule to be inspected is accumulated in a knowledge base 1. While referring the rule of the base 1, an inferring mechanism 21 controls the inference. Specification description 22 is expressed by the specification applied to an objective problem so as to be a reference for deciding the rightness of the inferred result. A rightness deciding part 23 decides whether the inferred result of the mechanism 21 is suitable or not while referring the description 22. Based on the decided result of the deciding part 23, a debugging means 24 discovers in which part of the knowledge base trouble is generated. Thus, the suitability of the inferred result including the result in the middle of processing as well is decided and based on this decision, it can be discovered in which part of the knowledge base the trouble is generated.
