SOLUTION: The reserve electric power supply system calculates an estimated value of power consumption of a load from an actually consumed value, calculates an estimated value of operation time from an actual operation time, and calculates a controllable amount of equipment based on an equipment use right and a cost to purchase the equipment use right. The system receives information about bidding for purchasing a reserve power, and calculates a reserve power generated by purchasing the equipment use right for a desired time zone and a bid price and provides the reserve power and the bid price to power suppliers. When the power suppliers purchase the reserve power, the system informs the power suppliers that the equipment use right is purchased, and calculates total amounts of power consumption of all the individual consumers 2a, 2b, and 2c, and controls equipment of the equipment use right thus purchased so that an amount of power consumption per predetermined time period may be a target amount of power or below.
