    • PURPOSE:To measure the content of a paramagnetic material and the content of a ferromagnetic material without saturating the ferromagnetic material in a pellet and to reduce the size of a magnetizing coil by using nonmagnetic material characteristics with a different DC magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The pellet 1b is magnetized with DC magnetic fields of circular coils 2 and 3. The output of a search coil 4 is passed through a delay device 8 and amplified 6 and the output of a search coil 5 is amplified 7; and those amplified voltages are processed by a differentiator 9, whose output is integrated 10. Its integral voltage is proportional to the amount of the ferromagnetic material when the coils 4 and 5 are equal in the number of turns. The voltage obtained by integrating 13 the output voltage of the amplifier 7, on the other hand, is processed by a differentiator 15 by adjusting the amplification factor of an amplifier 14 to obtain the amount of the paramagnetic material. Those amounts of the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic materials are recorded on a recording device 11.

    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize a magnetization coil, by utilizing nonlinear magnetic characteristic of a ferromagnetic material without saturation thereof by two DC magnetic field and an AC magnetic field overlaping it to measure the content of a paramagnetic material and the ferromagnetic material in a pallet without saturation of the ferromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic body in a fuel rod 1 is DC magnetized at such an intensity of magnetic field as to cause no magnetic saturation while an AC magnetic field is applied thereto with an AC magnetization coil 4. With such an arrangement, the voltage entering an amplifier 8 through induction coils 6 and 7 will be the sum of the voltage due to changes in the magnetization of a paramagnetic material and a ferromagnetic material in a pallet. The differential voltage in the induction voltage between search coils 11 and 14 with an AC magnetization coil 10 is taken with an amplifier 13 and the differential voltage is taken with a differential amplifier 15 from the output of the amplifier 8 via a delay unit 14. The results enter a recorder 18 via an amplifier 16 to display the amount of the ferromagnetic material and the difference is determined with a differential amplifier 17 between the outputs of the amplifiers 8 and 16 to display the amount of the paramagnetic material on the recorder 18.

    • PURPOSE: To enable an inexpensive manufacture, by providing a disc or a cylinder made of a better electrical conductor on the circumference of a pole body to eliminate a counter measure for a high voltage at an electric circuit section of a detector and the setting of a filter or the like to ensure a low level of the detection voltage.
      CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 6 (replaceable by a disc) made of a better electric conductor is provided at a part of a pole body 2 and on the circumference of a permanent manet 3. Then, when the revolutions are low, a slow change in the magnetic flux of the pole body 2 will result in limited current induced in he cylinder 6 thereby producing little effect for reducing the magnetic flux passing through the pole body 2. Therefore, the induced voltage of a coil 5 in low revolutions generates a normal voltage. On the other hand, when the revolutions are high, the magnetic flux of the pole body 2 changes so fast as to increase the current induced in the cylinder 6 thereby reducing the flux passing through the pole body 2. Thus, the induced voltage in the high revolutions can be reduced.
