    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent errors in connection of a cable and uniformly manufacture the cable by continuously installing a plurality of identifying belt-like bodies having different colors on the outer circumferential surface of the cable in the length direction, so as to be capable of peel off. SOLUTION: A plurality of identifying belt-like bodies 1a-1f are installed in the length direction on the outer circumferential surface of a cable sheath 5 of a coaxial cable C. As a specific method, a sheath 7 for a belt-like body having a thickness of 1 mm or less is fit closely to the outside of the cable sheath 5 to form a double sheath. A plurality of notches are formed in the length direction to form the identifying belt-like bodies 1a-1f. A plurality of belt-like part, having different colors are formed in a belt-like body forming portion E of the sheath 7 and seven boundary lines of adjacent colors, are notched to form the belt-like bodies 1a-1f. Each color of red, blue, yellow, green, brown, and white are set for six identifying belt-like bodies. The belt-like bodies 1a-1f can be peeled off from the outer circumferential surface 6.

    • PURPOSE:To evaluate and estimate the life of the image guide more accurately by recognizing the deterioration of the image guide by digitizing the degree of deterioration which is sensed with the human naked eyes or the degree of deterioration which is close to it. CONSTITUTION:A graph shows a graph example (curve A) of an output to the wavelength of incident light and a graph example (curve B) of the product of the output nd a standard relative luminousity factor to the wavelength of the incident light when the incident light is made incident on the image guide to be inspected from a certain visible light source. Namely the image guide to be inspected is deteriorated as specified to prepare both the deteriorated sample and an undeteriorated sample and wavelength-output characteristics of the same visible light source are measured as to both the samples, thereby drawing a curve which indicates the product of the output and relative luminousity factor at wavelength on the axis of ordinate and the wavelength on the axis of abscissa. Then the area inside the curve in a desired wavelength range is found and the degree of deterioration is evaluated from the ratio of the area S1 of the deteriorated sample to the area S0 of the undeteriorated sample. Thus, the degree of deterioration of the image guide is weighted by the standard relative luminousity factor, so the degree of deterioration which is sensed with the human naked eyes or the degree of deterioration which is close to it can be recognized as a physical quantity.
