    • PURPOSE:To agitate toners thoroughly by displacing an agitating member back and forth in parallel with the axial line of an ear forming body behind the ear cutting member in the moving direction of ears. CONSTITUTION:An agitating member 18 consists of a non-magnetic material having spring force, for example, phosphor bronze. The member 18 extends in parallel with the axial line of an ear forming body 9 and triangular blades 19 are formed in the parts facing said body 9 to a saw tooth shape continuously in the axial line direction of the body 9. The toner on a sleeve 10 near the preceding ends of an ear cutting member 17 and the toner in a storage tank 14 are thoroughly mixed by the blades 19. The member 18 is stuck to a driving shaft 20, and the shaft 20 is provided freely displaceabily along the axial line thereof and is held energized in one (the right side in the figure) of the axial line direction by means of a spring 21. The shaft 20 and the member 18 are displaced and driven back and forth in the axial line direction by a motor 26 via a front face cam 22 and a follower 23.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent toner from scattering into a copying machine and to eliminate the generation of a brush mark without tailing, by providing a sealing means at the opening part of a developing device and by specifying the movement direction of a magnetic brush and the content of the toner in a developer. CONSTITUTION:The movement direction 17 of the magnetic brush of a magnetic brush developing device 1 is set opposite to the movement direction 14 of a photosensitive layer 12, and floating toner shielding walls 16a and 16c made of elastic bodies are provided at the photosensitive-layer introduction side end part and both side end parts of the opening part of the developing device. The rate of toner particles in a magnetic brush development area to magnetic carrier particles is set 20-150% greater than the amount of toner particles saturated and adsorbed to the magnetic carrier particles, thus performing development. Leakage through carriers due to excessive toner particles is prevented, and the generation of a brush mark is suppressed; and the said content results in that the generation of toner powder smoke, the dirtying of a background, the occurrence of tailing are also suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To enable copying in unmagnification, reduction, magnification, etc. with exactly the same operations as ordinary copying operations in unmagnification, by using a universal cassette which can contain various sizes of copying paper with the same feed cassette and switching means disposed therein. CONSTITUTION:A regulating member 41 which regulates the width of copying paper 40 is mounted in a universal cassette 12 freely adjustably in movement in the direction intersecting orthogonally with a paper feed direction. When an operating piece 46 moving relatively with the member 41 displaces according to the selection of copying for unmagnification and reduction, unmagnification and magnification or reduction and magnification in the stage of setting the paper 40, either one of the switches SW1 and SW2 in a receiving part 11 for the above-mentioned cassette disposed in the positions corresponding to the displacing positions of the piece 46 is actuated so as to be controlled to the moving speed of an original plate and the correct position of an optical device suited for one magnification selected among the magnification, reduction, and magnification. The copying stage at the intended variable power is accomplished when the copying operations are performed in the above-mentioned state.
