      3 and consisting of the balance molten salt having a m.p. of a specific temp. or above, in an exhaust system on the downstream of the catalyst.
      CONSTITUTION: A reacting agent formed by mixing sodium anthraquinone disulfonate and powders of NaCO
      3 and NaVO
      3 is mixed with molten salt (450°C m.p.) formed by mixing CaCl
      2 and BaCl
      2 , etc. and melting the mixture by heating to prepare a malodor removing material. Said material is made into a molten stage and a honeycomb-shaped carrier 10 is dipped therein to coat the malodor removing material on the wall surfaces 11 forming the honeycomb- shaped block chambers of the carrier 10. Such carrier is attached in the midway of an exhaust pipe on the downstream side of a catalyst for cleaning up exhaust gas from an engine.
