    • PURPOSE:To prevent an engine stop and improve convergence to a target speed by setting the larger spark advance amount when a difference between an engine speed and the target speed is the larger in a speed range equal to or above the predetermined setting level, and setting the smaller spark advance amount when the difference is the larger in a speed range under the predetermined setting level. CONSTITUTION:When an internal combustion engine 1 is judged to be in the predetermined idling mode, the average Na of actual idling speeds during the past predetermined period is first obtained in a control unit 16. Then, a reference speed Nt is obtained from a difference between the deviation of a reference idling speed Nb and the aforesaid average Na, and an actual engine speed Ne. Furthermore, map retrieval is made on the basis of the reference speed Nt, thereby obtaining correction ignition timing. When the average Na is larger than the reference speed Nb, the ignition timing is corrected toward a delayed side. On the contrary, when the average Na is smaller than the reference speed Nb, the ignition timing is corrected toward an advance side.

At a control valve calculating means G, the open loop correction value is added to the feedback correction valve, and on the basis of the added result, the degree of opening of a control valve 10 is controlled.

CONSTITUTION:In case the speed change device consists of an automatic speed changer when the car is running, a control unit 18 judges, from output of shift sensor 17, whether the shift range is neutral or parking range, and if yes, it is considered that the condition for fuel increase control is met when the engine revolving speed is under a certain level and the degree of throttle opening is below a certain specific valve. If no in shift range judgement, on the other hand, it is also judged that the condition for fuel increase control is met when the car speed is under a certain level (approx. 3km/h) and the degree of throttle opening is below specific value. At this time of judgement, injector 11 is controlled so that fuel increase is made gradually for a specific period of time.

CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the output signals from an airflow sensor 6 and a crank angle sensor 11, a control unit 9 calculates the charging efficiency representing an engine load by means of a calculating means A, and on the basis of this charging efficiency and the engine speed the basic initial value of dashpot control is calculated by means of a calculating means B. Next, when the full-closing of a throttle valve 7 is judged by means of a calculating means C from the output of an airflow sensor 6, a correction is added to the basic initial value; when it is not so, the basic initial value is outputted to a calculating means D as it is as the initial value of dashpot control. And, after the throttle valve 7 has been fully closed, when a soft switch SW is turned ON after the lapse of a prescribed time, a dashpot control starting signal is outputted to operate a control valve 10 inside an auxiliary air passage 8 which bypasses the throttle valve 7.

CONSTITUTION:An ISC valve 5 is driven by the output of a control unit 6 to control an intake air quantity for controlling an idling speed. In this case, when an engine is judged to be at the time of restarting under a half cooled state from an engine water temperature detected by a water temperature sensor 7, the number of engine revolutions detected by a crank angle sensor 9 and an issued starter signal, an incremental intake air quantity is added to ordinary intake air quantities at and after engine starting to increase a fundamentally set intake air quantity for an increase in the intake air quantity, which is controlled to be gradually decreased according to the magnitude of resistance loss of an engine 1 with the elapse of time. Thus, even when temperature differences occur on sliding contact parts of the engine 1 at the time of its starting under its warm state to cause increase in the resistance loss, the deterioration of an engine characteristics such as the number of engine revolutions can be prevented.

However the regulation for the minimum injection quantity of a fuel injection valve 10 is released by confirmation when an engine rotational frequency is equal to a given rotational frequency or more and a throttle valve is fully closed by signals from a rotational frequency sensor 22 and an idle switch 21, in the control unit 20 at the time of translation to a deceleration condition; in the case where fuel supply is not to be immediately stopped but to be delayed for a given period, even a running condition is translated to a condition where a running condition is to be fuel-cut. Consequently, it is avoided that fuel is injected much quantity than needs in this delay period.
