At the front end part of the machine frame 1, a guiding device 9 for guiding the leaf vegetables A to the starting end of conveyance of the conveying devices 8a, 8b at the same time is installed in plural rows, and a housing part 10 for housing the leaf vegetables A from the final end side of the conveyance is installed at the rear end part of it. The both conveying devices 8a, 8b convey the leaf vegetables A from the starting end side of the conveyance to the final end side of the conveyance, and are constituted as changing the posture of the leaf vegetables stepwise from a standing posture to a posture close to falling sideways through a posture of somewhat falling sideways during their conveyance.

    • PURPOSE:To surely prevent root vegetables from dropping in the course of conveying by strongly nipping mutually opposite inner revolution parts of a pair of specific endless belts nipping the root vegetables with tension rollers from both sides. CONSTITUTION:A pair of endless belts 25 and 26 of nearly circular cross section are engaged and revolved with annular recessed parts 33 of circular arc cross section formed in respective front and rear pulleys 23 and 24 and annular recessed parts of circular arc cross section formed in tension rollers 30 in the intermediate parts of the inner revolving parts 27 and 28. The belts in a mutually adjacent state are stably transferred to the inside in the same direction in the respective inner revolving part. The mutually opposite inner revolving parts in the pair of the endless belts 25 and 26 nipping root vegetables are strongly nipped with the tension rollers from both sides. Thereby, the inner revolving parts opposite through the root vegetables are kept in a slightly elastic deformed state and the root vegetables are surely nipped with the mutual opposite inner revolving parts and transferred.

CONSTITUTION:In a conveyor for conveying root vegetables by nipping the rotor vegetables such as a Japanese radish or a carrot dug up with a harvester for the root vegetables, endless belts 25 and 26 are revolvably stretched in a rear rising state between front and rear pulleys 23 and 24 and tension rollers 30 are brought into contact with mutually oppositely and adjacent revolving inner revolving parts 27 and 28 of the pair of the endless belts 25 and 26. Annular recessed grooves 33 of nearly V-shaped cross section are formed in the respective outer peripheral parts of the front and rear pulleys 23 and 24 and the tension rollers 30. Endless protruding ridges 35 of nearly V-shaped cross section engaging the annular recessed grooves 33 of the pulleys 23 and 24 and the tension rollers 30 are formed on the inner peripheral parts of the endless belts 25 and 26 and vertical endless belts 36 for nipping the root vegetables (A) between the respective mutually opposite inner revolving parts 27 and 28 and conveying the root vegetables are formed on the outer peripheral parts of the endless protruding ridges 35.
