    • PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of camber and deformation in the stage of sintering and to prevent the seizure to a base plate, keep plate, etc. in the stage of sintering a thin sheet-shaped green compact molding consisting of rare earth magnet material powder by sintering the green compact molding on many small balls on the base plate. CONSTITUTION:The many small balls 3 are disposed on the base plate 5 and the thin sheet-shaped green compact molding 4 consisting of the rare earth magnet material is imposed thereon; further the small balls 3 are disposed thereon as well and the keep plate 2 is placed thereon. The entire part is put into a Ta foil vessel 6 and a Ta cap 1 is put thereon. The assembly is placed still in an electric furnace and the molding 4 is sintered. Then the seizure arises hardly as the contact area of the molding 4 with the base plate 5 and the keep plate 2 is small in the stage of sintering. Since the small balls 3 have the freedom to move during shrinking of the molding 4, the generation of the nonuniform deformation in the molding 4 is obviated and the camber is effectively suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve almost complete magnetic erasing of the compact and the metal mold, by inverting the direction of the direct current magnetic field performing the A.C. demagnetization after shaping the powder of magnetic chemical compound under the D.C. magnetic field parallel to the pressure direction. CONSTITUTION:The powder of magnetic chemical compound 5 is filled in the mold cavity of the metal mold 3. Being exited by direct current, the air-core coil 1 generates the magnetic field parallel to the pressure direction, where the shaping is done. Inverting once the magnetic field, the coil 1 is exited by alternating current to perform the demagnetization. Thus the demagnetic of the form and the metal mold 3 is almost completely achieved, and the cracks of the form caused by their adhesion which occurs when the form is taken out of the metal mold 3 are avoided. This effect is especially remarkable when the form is a thin plate.

    • PURPOSE:To enable uniformly filling a uniform size cohesion in a metal mold using no solvent by vibrating a hopper which has a bottom aperture where many balls are placed on a mesh and is supplied with rare earth magnetic compound powder. CONSTITUTION:Rare earth magnetic compound power 4 is supplied in a hopper 3 which has a bottom aperture where many balls 2 are placed on a mesh. The size of the ball 2 is greater than the size of the mesh. The hopper 3 is vibrated and the powder 4 is filled in a metal mold which is placed appropriately for the hopper 3. For example, a rare earth magnetic compound ingot wherein Sm and the total of Co, Fe, Cu, Zr and 1:7.5 in atomic ratio is roughly crushed and then ground by a jet mill to be made minute powder of mean grain diameter 4mum. The minute powder is partially coherent and consists of several mm size or greater lumps. The minute powder is supplied in the hopper 3 shown in the drawing, the hopper 3 is vibrated by an external vibrator and the magnetic powder is filled in the metal mold uniformly.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a tabular permanent magnet with excellent properties and having anisotropy in the direction of thickness, by previously processing magnetized material powder in the direction orthogonal to the easily magnetizable axis, and then molding the processed powder as it is by pressurizing it in the direction of the easily magnetizable axis. CONSTITUTION:Magnetized alloy powder 5 is inserted between mold punches 1 and 2. The mold is inserted into an air-core coil 6, and a vertical rod 8 and a transverse rod 9 are set on the punches 1 and 3, respectively. A magnetic field of 15-20kOe is applied by the coil 6 to a gap of 5-10mm. defined between the punches 1 and 2, whereby the powder is orientated. The powder, as it is, is further pressurized by the punch 3 orthogonally to the direction of the magnetic field orientation, the pressure being maintained at such a level that a density of the molded material will exceed about 30% of a density of a final molded material. Then, a required pressure is applied in the direction of orientation, and at the termination of pressurizing, the direction of the magnetic field is reversed to degauss the molded material, which is then removed from the mold. According to this constitution, a desirable degree of orientation can be ensured with reduced destruction of orienation, and thus a permanent magnet having excellent properties can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To uniformly disperse particles throughout an amorphous matrix without forming a solid solution, in a method for preparing the title material having second phase particle dispersed therein according to a quenching method, by injecting a molten matrix alloy to the particles to perform mixing under stirring. CONSTITUTION:A matrix alloy sump part 14 is provided to the upper part of the throttled part 11, which is provided above a slit shaped minute jet orifice 9, of a round tube 10 and a temorary sump part 13 of a mixture consisting of the matrix alloy and particles comprising WC is provided below the throttled part 11 and above the jet orifice 9. The sump parts 13, 14 are communicated with a bore 12 and a dish shaped particle receiver 15 is fixed to the inner wall of the sump part 13 at an intermediate position dividing said sump 13 into upper and lower two so as to provide a gap from said inner wall. At first, a head 6A is detached to place particles 17 on the receiver 15 and after the matrix alloy 3 apparatus is set and the leading end part of a nozzle is heated to perfectly melt only the alloy 3. In the next step, the jet orifice 9 is allowed to approach to a rotary roll 1 and the molten alloy is injected to the surface thereof by the pressure of Ar-gas. In this case, the alloy 3 is injected to the sump part 13 in a concentrated manner to be collided with the particles 17 which are, in turn, mixed with the alloy 3 under stirring to inject the uniformly dispersed molten alloy 18.
