摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the sensory deodorizing effect with a small quantity of a deodorant used at the level causing no personal preference difference about scent against the mercaptan odor and make the odor nonoffensive after its use by using one of eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, p-cymene, benzaldehyde, and benzyl acetate as the essential constituent. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind selected from a group of eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, p-cymene, bensaldehyde, and benzyl acetate which are volatile and fragrant materials is contained as the essential constituent in a deodorant against the mercaptan odor which is the main constituent of the garbage odor and the malodor generated from sewage. Even when a small quantity of the deodorant is used against the mercaptan odor at the level causing no personal preference difference about scent, the scent of the volatile and fragrant material is mixed with the mercaptan odor and offset each other, the intensity of the odor is reduced by the sensory neutralizing function, uncomfortableness is improved, the malodor is deodorized, and the odor after mixing is made nonoffensive.

CONSTITUTION:Effective deodorizing components extracted from organs such as leaves, leaf stems, fruits, stalks, roots, and barks of plants such as oxalis and houttuynia are used as main components of a deodorant and compounds derived from refined vegetabled oils, for example, one compound or a combination of two or more compounds as selected from a group of menthone, cineol, geraniol, vetiverol, vetivon, vetiven, l-methole, citronellal, l-linalool, linalyl acetate, alpha-terpineol and dipentene are added to the deodorant. The compounds are contained preferably at a rate of 0.00001-0.1% by capacity per total. This deodorant always provides a quick effect for odor as a whole and gets rid of unpleasantness in smelling after reaction.

This provides a deodorant which always assures a quick effect and produces no unpleasentness in smelling after reaction along with a higher deodorizing effect.
