    • PURPOSE:To mold a stable disacetylene monomolecular adsorption built-up film by forming a silane monomolecular adsorption film on any substrate and allowing an aliphatic monomolecular film to be coupled to the monomolecular adsorption film using an oxidation coupling reaction method. CONSTITUTION:A silane surfactant with an acetylene bond in a molecule is allowed to undergo reaction, using a chemical adsorption method, on an Si substrate 1 with SiO2 formed on the surface to form a monomolecular adsorption film 2. Next, a long-chain aliphatic acid with an acetylene bond in the molecule is allowed to undergo reaction on the monomolecular adsorption film 2 using an oxidation coupling method to form a built-up film 5 as the second layer. Thus, for instance, a diacetylene bond 6 is formed on the surface of the adsorption film 2. Again the silane surfactant is allowed to undergo on the surface of the built-up film 5 to form a built-up film 8 as the third layer with the help of a chemical adsorption method. After this, if an energy ray 11 such as far ultraviolet ray is cast to the whole surface of the built-up film, the diacetylene bonds 6 are polymerized with the adjacent other and subsequently, a highly stable diacetylene monomolecular adsorption built-up film is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To produce highly efficiently an ultrahigh-MW linear polydiacetylene having a succession of conjugated systems, by polymerizing a monomolecular film of a diacetylene derivative cast on the surface of water by irradiation with light under a specified surface pressure. CONSTITUTION:A diacetylene substance dissolved in an organic solvent is cast on the surface of water and the organic solvent is evaporated from the solution. The molecules of said diacetylene substance left on the surface of water are gathered with a barrier on the surface of water in the direction of the surface of water and polymerized by irradiating with light under a specified surface pressure. The above process makes it possible to make a liner ultrahigh-MW polydiacetylene having a succession of conjugated systems because the compression of the diacetylene molecules arranged in a state of separate molecules by a constant pressure can eliminate gaps formed from the molecular shrinkage during photopolymerization and thereby keeps conditions necessary for the photopolymerization reaction of the diacetylene monomer. By applying a DC bias to the reaction system in the direction of the surface in performing the photopolymerization, the orientability of monomer molecules can be improved and a polydiacetylene of a longer conjugation system can be made.

    • PURPOSE:To improve an error rate, transmission efficiency and a transmission rate by encoding a digital receiving signal in order of sampling, comparing the past value and the latest value of encoded data and detecting whether a self-correlation of a receiving signal exists or not. In such a state, when a CPU 3 outputs the latest data (Dn), the holding contents of each register 5-7 are transferred successively to the next stage, and also, the output data (Dn-3) of the register 7 is compared with the data Dn by a comparing means 9 through an inverting means 8. When a coincidence is obtained by the means 9, a counting value of a counting means 10 is increased by one, and when a coincidence is not obtained, the value is decreased by one. When this counting value is >=3, it is decided that a sampling signal in that case is a preambld signal. In such a way, the preamble signal can be detected surely in an early stage, and a receiver of good transmission efficiency and a high transmission rate is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the vapor deposition type magnetic recording medium and to realize high-density recording by forming plural layers of monomolecular films consisting of silane surfactants on the surface of a magnetic recording layer formed by vapor deposition on a medium substrate as protective films. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording layer 2 is formed by a sputtering method, etc., on the disk substrate 1 for magnetic recording. Plural layers of the monomolecular films are formed as protective films 8 by a method of alter nately executing, plural times, a stage of forming one layer of a monomolecule- adsorbed film by chemical adsorption of the silane surfactant to a monomolecu lar state and a stage of denaturing the sensitive group of the activating agent by executing irradiation of energy rays such as electron rays on X-rays or plasma treatment in an atmosphere contg. The high-density thin org. film is thereby formed on the surface of the medium with a uniform thick ness without having the pinholes and further, lubricity is provided to the medium surface by incorporating F into the surface, by which the slipperiness of the head is improved.
