SOLUTION: In the multi-chamber type air conditioner, an air conditioning load upon intermittent operation is led out from the kind, the capacity rank and an indoor suction temperature of an indoor machine under the condition of intermittent operation while a compressor and an expansion valve are controlled in accordance with the load. Accordingly, the affection to the outlet temperature of the indoor machine under the heating operation of another room can be reduced by controlling the compressor and the expansion valve whereby continuous operation can be effected with a capacity same as a designed value.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method when detecting the failure in the refrigerant heater of a refrigerant-heating-type multiple-chamber-type air conditioner for restraining the generation of failure in the refrigerant heater even if the chamber of an electric expansion valve is narrowed by such deposit as sludge in heating operation and the amount of circulated refrigerant flowing through the electric expansion valve at the side of an indoor machine in stop state has decreased extremely. SOLUTION: When the failure in the refrigerant heater is detected during heating operation, combustion is stopped immediately and a quenching process is performed. Then, it is judged whether the occurrence count of the failure in the refrigerant heater has reached a specific value or not. If the count has not reached a specific number, the refrigerant heater is restarted. In this case, the motor-driven expansion valve of the indoor machine in stop state is opened for a specific number of pulses. The above operation is repeated until the occurrence count of failure in the refrigerant heater reaches a specific number, the amount of circulated refrigerant flowing through the motor-driven expansion valve of the indoor machine in stop state is increased.
