    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the meaning of an inputted text to be accurately understood without impairing the naturalness of speech even in the case where the sound speed is largely changed from a standard speed when the inputted text is converted into the speech. SOLUTION: In the case where the speed of the speech inputted by a user is outside a predetermined range, the text to be converted into the speech is converted into a text having a meaning equivalent to the text and having a different expression. The converted text is converted into the speech, outputted and the speed of speech is adjusted by adjusting the amount of information per unit time of the speech.
