摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently decompose a contaminant component such as ammonia by constituting a water purifying apparatus by providing two modules connected by a flange having an oxygen supply means provided therein to the forcible circulation flow path for circulation water of a water tank. CONSTITUTION:When a circulation pump 10 is operated, the org. matter such as the excretion or leftover feed of the fish in a water tank 1 and the water containing ammonia or nitrate generated from the org. matter in the water tank enter a circulation pump 10 and are heated by a hot water heating unit 8 to be passed through the first and second modules 4, 5 and an ultraviolet sterilizing unit 9 to be circulated to the water tank 1. In this circulation system, the org. matter or ammonia is subjected to oxidative decomposition by aerobic bacteria and the oxygen contained in the air sucked from an oxygen supply means 6 in the second module 5 to become nitrate. The nitrate-containing water is circulated to the first module 4 to be decomposed into nitrogen and water by the action of hydrogen generated by an anaerobic bacteria group.

Further the microporous film is desirably to be in the range of 60 to 75%.

CONSTITUTION:A water purifying apparatus 1 has a nitrous acid removing module 12 packed with a nitrous acid removing fiber 11. The nitrous acid removing fiber 11 contains a metal chelate and, as the metal chelate, a chelate compound having a porphyrin nucleus being a phthalocyanine derivative is used. For example, a carboxyl derivative of iron phthalocyanine is molecularly dispersed in amorphous rayon to obtain the nitrous acid removing fiber 11. When this nitrous acid removing fiber 11 is used in the forcible circulating flow path of the water of a water tank for fish, nitrous acid is removed and fine particles in water can also be removed by the filter effect of the fiber.

Furthermore, the fungi pathogenic to fish grown in the water tank is sterilized by a UV lamp 12, and free chlorine in water is also removed.

Namely, in the free chlorine generator 14 continuously stabilized concentration of free chlorine is maintained by the electrolysis of salt water, the algae generated in the water tank are decomposed and eliminated, thereby increasing merchandise value as the algae free water tank for pet fish.

摘要： PURPOSE:To protect the life of fish in a water tank by a method wherein, when the introduction of air is stopped due to a lowering in the ability of a water jet means in a flow circulation passage or increase in the flow resistance to the circulation passage, the flow resistance downstream an air supply means is reduced to circulate the water in the tank as an emergency measure. CONSTITUTION:When the supply of air from an air supply means 5 is stopped during purifying action due to a lowering in the ability of a water jet means 4 and owing to an increase in the flow resistance in circulation passage, a signal from an air flow detecting means 17 activates a flow control means 11 to switch the circulation flow to the position of a second flow 12. In doing so, the amt. of the circulation flow is increased and the air suction ability of the air supply means 5 is restored by decreasing the back pressure thereof. In this way the supply of air is permitted during the repair of the device. This method permits the life of fish in a water tank to be maintained.
