    • PURPOSE:To restrict the number of notified defects to minimum by integrating extracted defective pixels showing the distance therebetween not larger than predetermined (m) pixels into one group, and operating and notifying the representative coordinates of the group. CONSTITUTION:A wiring pattern on a printed board is illuminated by a scattering illuminating device. The dark-and-bright image obtained by an image input means 101 provided with a CCD camera is compared with a predetermined threshold value by a binarizing means 102, so that the image is converted to a binary image wherein a part of the wiring pattern is expressed by 1 and a part of a base material is represented by 0. The binary image is compared with a standard pattern in a defect extracting means 103, and a defect of the wiring pattern is extracted. As a result, an image from which the defect is extracted is output. In a defective pixel integrating means 104, the connecting characteristic of a target pixel with the peripheral defective pixels is determined if the target pixel is defective. When the target pixel shows the connectivity with the peripheral defective pixels, the pixels are treated in one group and the coordinates of the group are registered. The connected pixels are the pixels the distance of which is not larger than predetermined (m) pixels. When the extracted images are completely scanned, the representative coordinates of each group are calculated and notified.

    • PURPOSE:To execute optional color conversion in which input and output are three-dimensional respectively at real time by generating a discrete lattice point by partitioning roughly input color space, and obtaining beforehand a color conversion value on only the individual lattice point, and down loading it to a color conversion value table memory for every different color conversion. CONSTITUTION:Input signals 101 to 103 are gamma-converted by gamma- conversion table memories 104 to 106. The input signal is divided into a high order signal (x1, y1, z1) and a low order signal (x2, y2, z2). A low order signal group 108 is inputted to weight coefficient table memories 109 to 112. Besides, it is inputted to a unit tetrahedron selecting table memory 132 as well, and one of six pieces of the belonging unit tetrahedron units 0 to 5 is selected, and is outputted as the unit selection signal 133 of the numerical value of three bits from 0 to 5. On the other hand, a high order signal group 107 and the unit selection signal 133 are inputted to color conversion value storing table memories 115 to 118 through an address bus interface 113.

    • PURPOSE:To attain high speed arithmetic processing and to improve a texture of a highlight and dark area so as to obtain high definition reproduced picture by provid ing an input correction means, a multi-value processing means, a differential arithmetic means and an error distribution revision means or the like. CONSTITUTION:An input level Ixy inputted from an input terminal 4 and a correction error level exy are corrected by a correction means 5 and the result is outputted to a multi-value processing means 7. The means 7 compares the inputted correction level with plural threshold levels, applies multi-value processing to the result to a difference arithmetic means 8. The means 8 outputs a multi-value processing error being a difference between an inputted multi-value processing level and a 2nd input correction level to an error distribution revision means 11. Then the means 11 combines plural dither matrix threshold level with other dither threshold level taking a threshold level of the multi-value processing error diffusion method as the center and rearranges the result to improve the texture in the highlight and dark region. Moreover, the picture quality is controlled by the selection of a coefficient of a correction error level exy and to attain high speed calculation by bringing the coefficient to 1/2 or 1-1/2 .
