CONSTITUTION:A sub-station 16 transmits a particular individual identification code when receiving an ultrasonic signal intermittently emitting a fixed code and coming from a main station 15. At the main station 15, the time difference from transmission of the code to the reception of the individual identification code, the individual identification code, and the order of generation of codes responded by the sub-station 16 are stored in memory 13. If someone approaches and goes into the range below the threshold of approach distance or approaches at a speed greater than the threshold of approaching speed, an individual identification code extractor 14 outputs the corresponding individual identification code.

CONSTITUTION:A defect detector 5 detects an abnormality state when a defect exists on a disk, and the output is fed to a p3 terminal of a pseudo tracking signal generator 7 and fed to variable amplifiers 8,9 as a control signal. When the defect is detected to be present, the amplification factor of the variable amplifier 8 is increased and the amplification factor of the variable amplifier 9 is decreased to increase the rate of the output of pseudo tracking signal based on the loop filter output signal studied at the preceding time and to decrease the rate of the loop filter output and the result is fed to the driver via an adder 10 thereby making the track hardly to be deviated from the track. Even when a defect exists on the disk, the pickup is hardly deviated from the correct track.

A gain controller 4 outputs a gain control signal controlling the gain of the amplifiers 7, 8. Thus, the focus balance automatic adjusting device able to be incorporated in an optical disk reproducing device is obtained.

With the main power supply OFF, on the other hand, the voltage falls according to the time constant determined by resistance 26 and capacitor 27 below the threshold level and transistor 31 turns OFF, so that the display will be inhibited. In this way, time constants are given at the time of the rise and fall in power voltage, thereby inhibiting the display when input signals are uneven.
