    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas-liquid contact efficiency by a method wherein a liquid- collecting apparatus for collecting liquid flowing down from an upper part inside a contact tower comprises a plurality of liquid-collecting troughs provided parallel with each other and with right and left symmetry, forming an opening on side plates of the liquid-collecting troughs, and having an eaves part member on the upper part of each of the openings. SOLUTION: A heat-exchanging tower is provided with a liquid-collecting apparatus on the middle step of the heat-exchanging tower. The liquid-collecting apparatus includes a plurality of liquid-collecting troughs 20 extending approximately horizontally. The liquid-collecting trough 20 provided in the center has side plates 21 of right and left having approximately the same height and symmetrical shapes and other liquid- collecting troughs 20 are formed to asymmetrical shapes, wherein inside side plates 21 are low in height and outside side plates 21 are high in height. The liquid-collecting trough 20 in the center forms openings 22 on the side plates 21, allowing a part of rising gas stream to flow upward through the openings 22, and preventing the gas stream from diluting in the upper space of the liquid-collecting trough 20 in the center. An eaves part member 23 is formed above each of the openings 22, preventing a part of the liquid stream from above from flowing down intactly.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a turbulence in a trough part and to drain liquid smoothly by constructing a liquid collecting device for collecting the liquid flowing down from above in a contact tower, of liquid collecting troughs arranged in parallel, and arranging a barrier member which extends laterally on the surface of a lateral plate on the side where the height of each of the liquid collecting troughs is larger. SOLUTION: In a liquid collecting device constructed of plural liquid collecting troughs held in an exchange tower 50, a shelf member which extends in the internal circumferential direction is provided on the inner wall of the exchange tower 50 and the end part of each of the liquid collecting troughs is deposited on the shelf member. Each of the liquid collecting troughs 2 is formed in such a way the liquid collecting trough 21 positioned in the center is symmetrical with a right and a left lateral plate 24 of almost the same height and the other liquid collecting troughs 22 are asymmetrical at the right and the left with a lateral plate 24, to the center, of small height an a lateral plate 23, of large height. Further, a barrier member 25 extending crosswise is disposed on the surface of a lateral plate 2. A liquid flowing down on the lateral plate 24 is once collected by the barrier member 25 and part of the liquid flows down from the open part of the lateral plate 24 and the other part drains down to the trough part. Thus the turbulence of the liquid in the trough part is suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform the flow rate of liquid being delivered from each nozzle hole of a liquid distributor by disposing a straightener, comprising a straightener body having a plurality of liquid delivery holes in the lower surface and a partitioning plate arranged in the intermediate stage section of the body, above the liquid distributor. SOLUTION: A straightener 10 comprises a trough-like body stretching in the horizontal direction, and a partitioning plate arranged therein. The body is provided with liquid delivery holes 13 in the lower surface and the partitioning plate 12 is provided with liquid flow-down holes 14. The straightener 10 is disposed above the main trough 21 of a liquid distributor 20 substantially in parallel therewith. A liquid flow introduced into the straightener 10 from the upper surface release part of the straightener body is developed laterally along a first channel defined by the partitioning plate 12 and then flows down through the hole 14. Subsequently, it is developed laterally along a second channel defined by the bottom face of the body and then flows down through the hole 14. Since the liquid flow flows down uniformly into the main trough 21 of the liquid distributor 20, flow rate of the liquid into each distribution tube 22 and from each nozzle 24 is made uniform.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flow down a liquid uniformly from a main pipe and a distribution pipe regardless of fluctuation in the quantity of liquid by making the liquid flow-out port in the main pipe at same level as the liquid flow-out port of the distribution pipe. SOLUTION: The liquid flow-out port in a main pipe 12 (opening 17 of a tubular member 16) is made at same level as the liquid flow-out port (nozzle hole 15) of a distribution pipe 13. When the number and size of the opening 17 and the nozzle hole 15 are determined such that the quantity of liquid flowing out through the opening 17 of the tubular member 16 made at the bottom of the main pipe 12 will be equal to the quantity of liquid flowing out through the nozzle hole 15 of the distribution pipe 13 under some head conditions, an equivalent head can be held at the liquid flow-out port of both pipes 12, 13 even if the flow rate fluctuates during operation of an exchanging tower and the liquid flows out uniformly from both pipes 12, 13. Consequently, a situation where the liquid flowing downward of the main pipe 12 is not balanced with the liquid flowing downward of the distribution pipe 13 due to fluctuation in the flow rate can be avoided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an embossing part on the surface of a metal from being crushed by arranging plural pressing dies in steps like series in row so that the projecting degree is increased orderly from an end of the series toward another end with a spring, and arranging spacers on the end of the die. SOLUTION: This die is composed of a receiving die 11 having plural projections and a pressing die 12 having one projection. Then, plural the pressing dies are arranged in stairs so that the degree of projecting of the die part is increased orderly from one direction of the series toward another. In the pressing die 12, spacers 13 are formed on the both ends. In the spacer 13, the both end parts are enough formed by one body so as to be projected than the central part, or plate like members 15 are formed enough by being arranged on the both end parts of the pressing die, Further, another composing members 16 are also enough arranged on the both ends of the pressing die. Therefore, the pressure difference of the spring of the die is made without requiring from finely regulating.
