    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a forming mold of a microneedle having a desired shape by precisely controlling the etching process of a silicon substrate. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the forming mold of the microneedle comprises a step of forming a silicon oxide film on a silicon semiconductor substrate having a main surface of a plane direction (100), a step of forming a mask consisting of the silicon semiconductor substrate where the silicon semiconductor substrate is exposed in a plurality of dispersed areas arranged on a straight line at a prescribed interval, a step of wet-etching the silicon semiconductor substrate with a potassium hydroxide aqueous solution using a mask consisting of a silicon oxide film, and a step of wet-etching the silicon semiconductor substrate with tetramethylammonium hydroxide aqueous solution instead of the potassium hydroxide aqueous solution when a plurality of recessed parts formed by etching the silicon semiconductor substrate communicated with each other.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device using a medical needle which reduces pain to the patient and minimizes damage to the pierced portion of the patient. SOLUTION: The medical needle is formed of any biocompatible materials including polymer macromolecule, bio-macromolecule, protein, and biocompatible inorganic material, and extends along a predetermined direction from a needle tip to the rear end portion, and has a vertical cross-section taken along a plane perpendicular to the predetermined direction of which cross-sectional area regularly varies based upon a distance from the needle tip. The medical needle includes a plurality of maximal points where the cross-sectional area of the vertical cross-section is maximal, and at least one minimal point where the cross-sectional area of the vertical cross-section is minimal. The vertical cross-section at the maximal point closest to the needle tip has the cross-sectional area not less than those at any other maximal points. The vertical cross-section has a hexagon shape.
