摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for extracting a body fluid (ISF (interstitual fluid), or the like) increasing the flow velocity and/or flow rate of the body fluid and/or reducing the influence of sensor lag and improving continuous or semi-continuous monitoring of the extracted body fluid.
SOLUTION: This body fluid extracting apparatus includes a penetration member configured for penetrating a target site and residing within the target site to extract a body fluid sample. The penetration member includes a proximal end adapted for fluid communication with an analyte analysis system, a distal end, and a channel extending from the distal end to the proximal end. The distal end includes a sharp portion for penetrating the target site, and a flexible feature adapted for promoting body fluid flow into the channel by protruding into the target site after the penetration member has penetrated the target site.
