    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator for an electrodeless illumination equipment in which a reflecting mirror shade of reflecting light emitted from an electrodeless bulb can be made larger and the shape of the reflecting mirror shade can be formed in variety, and in which an impedance matching of an electromagnetic wave to excite a filling gas of the electrodeless bulb and adjustment of a resonance frequency can be made possible. SOLUTION: This electrodeless illumination equipment has an electromagnetic wave generating means 10, the resonator 100 which resonates the magnetic wave generated from the electromagnetic wave generating means 10, an electromagnetic wave feeder 30 in which the electromagnetic wave generated from the electromagnetic wave means 10 is induced into the resonator, the electrodeless bulb 40 in which the plasma light is generated by the resonated electromaganetic wave energy, and the reflecting mirror shade 200 in which the light generated from the electrodeless bulb 40 is reflected. The resonator 100 has the main body 120 formed in a prescribed shape, and a multi-step resonance space part 110 in which one side of the main body 120 is opened and the cross section is gradually expanded toward the opening side. The ratio between an outer diameter of the feeder 103 and an inner diameter of the resonator 102 corresponding thereto is varied in accordance with travelling directions of the microwaves.
