    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for recognizing an audio device connected to a jack. SOLUTION: The bias voltage of an ECM is applied to a terminal 9-4, and a transistor 103 detects the voltage potential of the terminal 9-4. When a prescribed magnitude of voltage potential is not detected in the terminal 9-4, a switch 107 is turned on to apply the bias voltage of the ECM to a terminal 9-2, and a transistor 105 detects the voltage potential of a terminal 9-1. When a prescribed magnitude of voltage potential is detected in the terminal 9-1, a control circuit 101 outputs a detection signal which indicates an ECM unit connected to a three-prong plug, to an identifying signal generating circuit 111. When a prescribed magnitude of voltage potential is detected in the terminal 9-4, the control circuit outputs a detection signal which indicates a head set connected to a four-prong plug constituted of the ECM and a headphone, to the identifying signal generating circuit 111.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet PC for continuing the use of a voice signal collected from a microphone without a user intervention when a mode is changed from a PC mode to a tablet mode.
      SOLUTION: A tablet 13 is provided with a plurality of microphones configuring a microphone array. The tablet PC is configured to operate in a voice emphasis mode for processing a voice signal collected from a microphone by forming an emphasis space 200 and a non-processing mode for processing the voice signal without forming any emphasis space. When a user changes the PC mode to the tablet mode by operating the display casing of the tablet PC, the tablet PC detects it. When detecting the change of the mode, the tablet PC operates by processing the emphasis space so that the voice signal collected by the microphone can be used in the tablet mode.
