The space section 18 is elongated to a section upper than a roof floor section 20 and an upper end is covered with a wall section 21, and an exhaust opening 22 communicating the space section 18 and the outside air is formed to the upper section of the internal sidewall 8. An infinite number of holes, into which the outside air can be passed, are formed in the whole region of the external sidewall 6 in the direction that the external sidewall 6 is penetrated. The air- permeable waterproof sheet 12 has air permeability, and has water repellency (waterproofness) for preventing the inflow of rainwater, etc. A plurality of air cleaning means 10 are installed vertically to the space section 18 at intervals.

In addition, a protection layer 12 having a moisture-permeating characteristic is formed on an inside part of the humidifying pipe 6 in order to protect the humidifying pipe 6. The first pipe 4 into which the humidifying pipe 6 is inserted is laid in a serpentine arrangement in an inside part of a wall of the room, for example, in order to widen a laying area. Additionally, a countless number of fine holes are formed in advance in the wall so as to allow steam to pass through. As hot water is supplied to the humidifying pipe 6, steam generated from the hot water passes through the protection layer 12, humidifying pipe 6 and fine holes 10 and out of the pipe 4. Then, the water vapor flows into the room through some fine holes formed in the room wall, humidifying the interior of the room.

SOLUTION: This air cleaning wall 2 forms the outer wall of a building 4 and consists of an outer lateral wall 6, an inner lateral wall 8, a soil layer 10 and a venting waterproof sheet 12. In the soil storage part 16, the soil layer 10 is formed with a soil in which aerobic bacteria can proliferate. To secure appropriate air permeability in the soil layer 10 by preventing it from becoming compacted, a honeycomb structure is buried in the layer 10. In addition, numerous pores through which an atmospheric air is passable are formed, in the direction in which the pores are opened through the outer lateral wall 6, across the entire area of the outer lateral wall 6. Further, an opening 22 for exhaust and water supply is formed on the upper part of the soil storage part 16, while a water drain aperture 24 is formed on the lower part. The waterproof sheet 12 has air permeability for enabling the inflow of an atmospheric air and also has repellency (whereproofness) by which the rain water is prevented from flowing in.
