摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new product useful as an anionic surface-active agent by desulfating a sulfate group bound to a hydroxyl of (poly)glyceryl ether by recognizing the difference between a primary hydroxyl and secondary hydroxyl. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I (R1 is a 6-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is 2-3C alkylene; (n) is an average degree of polymerization of 1 to 10; (m) is an average degree of polymerization of 0 to 20; and X is a salt-formable cationic ion), e.g. decyl glyceryl ether-2-sodium sulfate salt. A compound of formula I is obtained by reacting e.g. a silyl sulfate ester of formula II (R3 and R4 are each an aliphatic or aromatic group) with a desulfating agent (e.g. silyl amide) having a molar amount 1.0 to 40.0 times lager than the whole molar amount of sulfate groups bound to primary hydroxyl groups at 40 to 150 deg.C for 1 to 24 hrs. and by thus selectively desulfating the sulfate groups bound to the primary hydroxyl groups.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the (reverse) extractability of rare earth metal ions by using two specified compounds as the constituents. CONSTITUTION:The title extracting agent is obtained by mixing a compound (A) having cyclohexyl rings of formula I [wherein R is (2-methyl)cyclohexyl or 2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl; X is H, a monovalent or divalent metal ions, or NH4) and a compound (B) of formula II (wherein R is 10-22C branched alkyl when R of component A is cyclohexyl, 4-8C straight-chain or branched alkyl when R is 2-methylcyclohexyl, and 4-8C straight-chain alkyl when R is 2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl) at a molar ratio of A to B of (3 to 2):(2 to 3). 0.01-2mol/l of this extracting agent is diluted with an organic solvent to give an extractant. This extractant is brought into contact with an acidic aqueous solution having an acid concentration of 0.01-0.2N and containing rare earth metal ions in an amount of 10-500g/l, in terms of rare earth metal oxide to transfer the ions to the extractant, thus effecting extraction.

The compound shown by the formula has extremely lower irritation to the skin, the eyes, and the musoca than an existing surface active agent having a similar structure.

The title substance is used as a detergent, emulsifier, antistatic or fiber finishing oil and the product from the process according to the present invention is excellent in foaming and cleaning power, reduced in irritation, and good in touch and color tone.
