摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate scattering of a getter material so as to continuously eliminate impurity gas generated from internal constituents by arranging a getter, which is arranged in the circumference part of an image effective part for absorbing impurity gas, and a shut off film preventing the getter material from scattering on the image effective part side in a vacuum space. SOLUTION: A front board 101 and a back board 102 are overlapped each other, while residual gas inside is evacuated when vacuumizing. When voltage is gradually applied to an electrode 105, heat is generated from the electrode 105 so as to be transmitted to a sheet getter 104. When temperature of the sheet getter 104 reaches a certain temperature, the sheet getter 104 is dispersed. On an image effective part (a) side, a blocking film 106 is arranged, so that most of the scattered sheet getter material 104 is scattered between the shut off film 106 and a frit seal 103 so as to be applied to the front base board 101, the back base board 102, and the frit seal 103 between the shut off film 106 and the frit seal 103. The scattered sheet getter 104 absorbs impurity gas moving to the image effective part (a) side so as to prevent voltage increase between discharge electrodes, and consequently, deterioration of a screen can be prevented and its life can be prolonged.
