    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an inkjet ink composition that can form an associative structure in many solvents and keep the associative structure stable, and an inkjet ink composition made of the material. SOLUTION: The material for the inkjet ink composition includes an organic solvent, and a siloxane compound containing at least one organic group having an optically active site and an associative site in the molecule, wherein the organic solvent satisfies the following requirements (a) to (c): (a) the siloxane compound is soluble in the organic solvent and does not precipitate even when the temperature is lowered to room temperature after dissolution; (b) the siloxane compound can form the associative structure in the organic solvent at room temperature; and (c) the inkjet ink composition made of the material for the inkjet ink composition prepared by dissolving the siloxane compound in the organic solvent is dischargeable from an inkjet nozzle.
