    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly eliminate a boundary layer formed between the fluid flowing along the inner wall of a piping and the fluid flowing through the central part of the piping, by generating a vortex flow in the above fluids. SOLUTION: This vortex flow generator comprises a cylindrical body having wavy unevenness, which has a plurality of recessed parts 11a, formed thereto in a peripheral direction and almost triangular cut pieces 11b are formed to the end edges of the recessed parts 11a. This cylindrical body is constituted so that the cut pieces 11b are fitted and arranged to the piping 18 so as to go toward the upstream side of the fluid flowing through the piping 18, the fluid flowing through the central part of the piping 18 is whirled in the recessed parts 11a by the cut pieces 11b to form a vortex flow involving the fluid flowing along the inner wall of the piping and the fluid flowing through the central part of the piping. By this constitution, the boundary layer in the piping becomes thin and the temperature of the fluid flowing through the piping is uniformized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
