    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting capable of suppressing local erosion of a fire resistant material for supplying gas and of uniformly stably carrying out blow-in of an inert gas in a circumferential direction.
      SOLUTION: The immersion nozzle 10 for continuous casting carries out flow control of molten steel from a tundish by a stopper 12 arranged at an inlet 11 for molten steel flow formed of the fire resistant material for supplying gas and charges the molten steel in a molten steel passage 13 from a discharge port 14 to a mold while blowing the inert gas into the molten steel from the fire resistant material for supplying gas.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory for an interlayer of a nozzle for continuous casting, which prevents press crack of an outer circumferential side layer due to thermal expansion difference of an inner hole side layer and an outer circumferential side layer made of a body material, has a shape capable of fixing the inner hole side layer to the outer circumferential side layer at a predetermined interval, and has a function for preventing exfoliation of the inner hole side layer during casting in the nozzle for continuous casting with an improved durability achieved by disposing a layer with high functions such as high corrosion resistance and high antiadhesiveness at the inner hole side. SOLUTION: The refractory contains ≥10 volume% and ≤75 volume% of a hollow refractory aggregate which satisfies the relation of R/t ≥10, wherein R is an average radius of a particle and t is an average wall thickness. The refractory contains one or more kinds of single metals or alloys of Al, Si, and Mg in an amount of ≥0.5 mass% and ≤15 mass% in total in terms of only a metal component, and carbon ≥2 mass% and ≤99.5 mass% of carbon, as a ratio of a residual part other than the hollow refractory aggregate to a total amount.
