    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cloth for a planar heating element capable of generating heat uniformly and with high efficiency even in the case where the cloth has a wide area or is long.SOLUTION: In cloth 1 for a planar heating element comprising a heating part 2 formed from conductive woven fabric and a pair of long electrode parts 3 formed from conductive woven fabric integrated with the heating part, in both opposing side portions of the heating part, the electrode parts are formed long so as to be inserted in contact with a conductive rod-like body. The insertion portion may also has a bag structure formed by double woven tissues or knitted tissues. In the cloth for the planar heating element, both the electrode parts may also include two long insertion portions neighboring to each other. The electrode parts may also include at least two rows of thin metal wires which are woven along a length direction. The woven fabric may also contain conductive fibers. The conductive fibers may also be organic fibers containing conductive carbon materials.
