A further outside of the outermost high-strength organic fiber-reinforced resin layer (31b) includes a glass fiber-reinforced resin layer (33b).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric for assisting tactile reading of Braille and an assistant tool for tactile reading of Braille that has a function for improving discriminability of braille characters at the time of tactile reading, is easy to put on and do not fall off from fingers during use, is less easily lost during storage, and is convenient to use.SOLUTION: The fabric for assisting tactile reading of Braille is a fabric comprising a fiber having 0.01 to 1.5 dtex of single fiber fineness. The fabric is characterized in that an average flexural rigidity of cloth made from it in the longitudinal and lateral directions by KES method is equal to or less than 0.1 (gf*cm/cm), an average value of mean coefficient of friction (MIU) in the longitudinal and lateral directions on a surface of a cloth by KES method is equal to or less than 0.3, and an average of mean deviation of coefficient of friction (MMD) in the longitudinal and lateral directions is equal to or less than 0.02. Also provided is an assistant tool for tactile reading of Braille obtained by processing the fabric into the form of a glove.
