摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for making a classified print of documents, which is simple and efficient, and can be easily arranged. SOLUTION: The first classified data is related with a document. When the second classified level obtained from the first classified data is not lower than the first classified level related with a classified output tray at the time, the document concerned is printed in one of several classified trays connected to a printer. The first classified data coincides with the second classified data obtained from an input device connected to the printer. The access to the classified tray is permitted when the second classified data coincides with the subset of the first classified data. In a certain enforcement form, the classified output tray on the printer is dynamically assigned to the different classified level corresponding to the classified level of the document printed in the classified output tray concerned. SOLUTION: The printing method allows a user to initiate printing of files on a host computer from the printer side with one or more button touches. The user initiates printing from the printer by using one or more buttons. The printer sends a data request to the host computer. A printer monitoring program on the host computer receives and responds to printer requests. The host computer, upon receiving the data request from the printer, finds the most active application window, calls the application application's default printing setting, generates a printing task for the most active open file, and sends it to the printer. The printer prints the file received from the host computer. Other printing modes are also possible, such as printing all opened files in the most active application and so on.
