摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit users to make determinations dynamically about the quality of scanned data, without having to upload image data to a computer.
SOLUTION: A method for providing a visual representation pertaining to a resolution of at least one scanned image segment obtained from a portable scanner is disclosed. The method includes the step of (a) associating the scanned image segment with positional coordinates relative to an image on a scanned medium. The method also includes the steps of (b) determining the resolution of the scanned image segment and (c) assigning the scanned image segment to a resolution category associated with the resolution. The method also includes the step of (d) displaying the image segment in a format associated with the resolution category, at a location corresponding to the location of the image segment relative to the image on the scanned medium.
