If geometrical dimensional accuracy of a side face 10c of the lens 10 set at the perpendicular direction to the optical axis OA is low, the lens 10 can be fixed in a precisely positioned state to the holder 20. In a lens unit, the lens and the holder are joined by an adhesive agent. In this case, the lens 10 and the holder 20 can be fixed strongly and moreover, a relative position of the lens 10 and the holder 20 can be easily arranged by the thickness of an adhesion part 41, and the lens 10 and the holder 20 can be relatively and precisely positioned and fixed.
