    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for continuously producing polymer resin particles which can continuously produce polymer resin particles with sharp molecular weight distribution and particle size distribution by preparing an oil droplet dispersion containing a polymerizable monomer and a chain transfer agent having a specific chain transfer constant, continuously feeding the oil droplet dispersion and a polymerization initiator into a tubular polymerization reactor, and proceeding the polymerization under plug flow conditions.
      SOLUTION: The oil droplet dispersion containing a polymerizable monomer and a chain transfer agent is prepared in an oil droplet dispersion-preparing apparatus and has a median diameter on a volume basis (D
      50 ) of 50 nm to 500 μm. This oil droplet dispersion and a polymerization initiator are fed into the tubular polymerization reactor. The chain transfer agent has a chain transfer constant (Cx) of from 1.9 to 17.1. The oil droplet dispersion and the polymerization initiator are continuously fed into the tubular polymerization reactor to proceed the polymerization under plug flow conditions to prepare the polymer resin particles.
