    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for simply and more reliably inspecting fracture of a magnetic material such as a reinforcing bar.
      SOLUTION: The device includes a detection head 10 for detecting a change in magnetic flux caused by the excitation of an exciting coil at a bend part Sc of a rod-like magnetic material S2 covered with a coating body. A fracture in the bend part Sc of the magnetic material S2 is inspected by using a Lissajous's waveform produced based on a signal of the detection head 10. The signal is obtained by exciting the exciting coil at two different frequencies. By adjusting the phase and amplitude of at least one Lissajous's waveform out of Lissajous's waveforms produced based on signals of respective frequencies, it is made possible to adjust a composited waveform thereof with the other Lissajous's waveform.
