    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aggregate for a hydraulic cement composition which practically uses blast furnace granulated slag or its particle size adjusted material and in which the blast furnace granulated slag is made to hardly agglomerate over a long period and to have water retention characteristics, so as to be suitable for preparing the hydraulic cement composition using it as the aggregate and to suppress the bleeding of the prepared hydraulic cement composition, and to provide the hydraulic cement composition. SOLUTION: The aggregate for the hydraulic cement composition obtained by mixing 0.002-0.3 pt.wt. water insoluble and high water absorptive acrylic cross-linked polymer having ≥60 mol% in total of a structural unit formed from acrylic acid and a structural unit formed from acrylic salt in the total structural unit with 100 pts.wt. blast furnace granulated slag or its particle size adjusted material is used.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caking preventing method by which the caking of the water granulated blast furnace slag is stably and sufficiently prevented through a long period without being affected by the fluctuation of the quality or the properties of the water granulated blast furnace slag or the like and the water granulated blast furnace slag fine aggregate for concrete which is obtained by the same. SOLUTION: As the method of preventing the caking of the water granulated blast furnace slag or the like, a caking preventing agent containing 30-99 mass% component A and 70-1 mass% component B, wherein total of the component A and the component B is 100 mass% is used by 0.002-0.5 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass water granulated blast furnace slag. The component A is at least one selected from an acrylic acid based high polymers and its alkali metal salts having weight average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000.
