    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator capable of sufficiently and efficiently obtaining supernatant.
      SOLUTION: The solid-liquid separator is provided with a solid-liquid separation tank having a solid-liquid separation area for producing supernatant with the content of sludge less than that of raw water, and sludge-concentrated water with the content of the sludge more than that of the raw water by gravity settling from the raw water containing sludge. A distributor for distributing and supplying the raw water to the solid-liquid separation area is provided below the liquid level of the solid-liquid separation tank, and a transport tank for transporting the supplied raw water to the distributor is provided on the distributor. The solid-liquid separator is configured to transport the raw water supplied into the transport tank while making the raw water flow down in the transport tank, and to press the raw water to the inner peripheral surface of the transport tank by at least either centrifugal force or gravity to make the raw water flow down in the transport tank.
