    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of regenerating a cutting blade by which a cutting blade, whose edge part is worn, can be regenerated efficiently in a stable quality.
      SOLUTION: In order to regenerate a cutting blade which has a blade part projecting outward from a fixed part, has a tip end edge sharpened in the rotating direction and has a side edge in the outer end of the side face including the blade part, the following steps are successively performed: a chamfering step S5 in which prescribed chamfering is performed on the edges of the repairable cutting blade; a preheating step S6 in which the chamfered cutting blade is preheated to a prescribed temperature; a cladding-by-welding step S9 in which a hardening overlaying material is continuously automatically surfaced on the chamfered edges on the preheated cutting blade; a post heating step S12 in which the cutting blade after the cladding-by-welding is subjected to a post heating treatment at a prescribed temperature; and machining steps S13, S14 in which the cladding-by-welding portion of the post heated cutting blade is regenerated into prescribed edges.
