摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallographic machine whose manufacturing and installation costs are low and whose size can be substantially made small. SOLUTION: The metallographic machine includes a main structure 6, a plate cylinder 4, an impression cylinder 3, a wiping device 10, and an inking system. The inking system includes a ducting roll 5, at least four color-selection cylinders 7a-7d, and inking devices 8a-8d that cooperate with each color-selection cylinder and that are installed in a movable ink carriage 9. The ratio of diameters of the ducting roll and the plate cylinder is equal to 2/3. Each of the sidewalls of the ink carriage constitutes a recess on the same side as the color-selection cylinders. The recesses, when the ink carriage is in an operating position, are designed to have a size in which the color-selection cylinders 7b, 7c positioned between the two outer color-selection cylinders 7a, 7d of both ends are completely housed in the space of the recess.
